Success of our former MPhil ISMM students

Over the last year, four students from the MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture, and Management at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), namely, Adya Hegde, Za Baylis, Andrew Pasco, and Neeraj Jain, carried out their theses as part of the Cyber-Human Lab (CHL) under the direct supervision of Dr Sławomir Tadeja and Dr Thomas BohnéAll four theses were carried out as part of a collaboration between the Cyber-Human Lab (CHL) in Cambridge and the MIT Learning Engineering Practice (LEAP) Group

We are proud to say that all the results of these student-led projects have been translated into scientific manuscripts currently undergoing peer review. One of the thesis projects, by Adya Hegde, has already been published:

A. Hegde et al., “Towards Expert Knowledge Capture with Virtual Reality: Exploring Immersive Elicitation of CAD Models for 3D Printing,” 2025 IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality Adjunct (ISMAR-Adjunct), Daejeon, Korea, Republic of, 2025, pp. 456-465, doi: 10.1109/ISMAR-Adjunct68609.2025.00092.

Furthermore, another Zachary Baylis obtained a distinction and a final grade of 83% for his thesis, ranking first overall in his MPhil ISMM cohort! Congratulations, Zac! Whilst Andrew Pasco is continuing his education at Stanford, working towards his M.S. Mechanical Engineering (Robotics) ’27.
