Zac is a postgraduate student at the Cyber-Human Lab conducting research for his MPhil thesis on using haptic feedback to improve the perception of precision tasks via teleoperation. His research explores how haptic feedback can be enhanced through mobile interfaces, such as smartphones, and investigates its potential applications in remote medical or manufacturing procedures.
Zac completed his undergraduate degree (MEng) in Design Engineering at Imperial College London, where he developed a strong foundation in design engineering, data modelling, and automation. He is currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Systems, Manufacture, and Management (ISMM) from the University of Cambridge. His academic interests focus on the intersection of robotics, user experience, and healthcare technology.
In addition to his research, Zac has a strong background in data-driven decision-making. He has worked professionally on various projects involving error reduction and process optimisation at Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo. and AWS, working specifically on the development of methodologies for automating production processes and improving operational efficiencies.
Outside of his academic pursuits, Zac is an avid sports fan and an active member of both the boxing and athletics “blues” teams at Cambridge.
