Joanna is pursuing her PhD in Technical Computer Science at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where she focuses on object representation in computer vision. Her research primarily revolves around models based on Gaussian Splatting, enabling fast rendering and modification of visual data.
Joanna holds two master’s degrees: one in Artificial Intelligence, where her thesis centred on personalization and a review of methods for graph representation in natural language processing, and another in Applied Mathematics, where she explored the nature of optimization problems via evolutionary algorithms.
Prior to joining the Cyber-Human Lab as a visiting postgraduate student, Joanna worked in the banking sector, where she optimized business processes by developing small programs to help with daily tasks and data reporting. Additionally, she contributed to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), where she worked on a framework to optimize network traffic by analyzing data from File Transfer Services.
