Angelo Batalla is a visiting student at the Cyber-Human Lab. His academic and professional focus is on understanding and operationalizing insights on technology adoption in highly regulated industries. He has extensive experience working with digital and industrial technologies in the energy industry, financial services, and healthcare. His current project aims at identifying the organizational drivers shaping the adoption of robotics and AI in clinical settings. For this project, he is working on a case with an NHS hospital. Going forward, Angelo is looking to apply and expand these insights to other regulated industries such as energy, where technology adoption also plays a significant role. In addition to his studies at TUM and LMU, Angelo has participated leadership development programs in the US and EU. He was a Climate Corp Fellow with the Environmental Defense Fund and a Pioneer into Practice with Climate KIC (European Institute for Innovation and Technology). Angelo’s professional and academic trajectory has been shaped by his postgraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and Maryland Institute College of Arts.
