Leonard Hysky

Postgraduate Student
Leo is an visiting student from Germany and will focus on the improvement of training concepts using different types of visualisation under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Bohné and Erik Bubík. Starting his academic career with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering, a semester abroad in Oman and a master in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, Leo has developed great interest in automotive and motorsport. He has gained experience during internships at Porsche and Sauber Motorsport and loves the dynamic environment of fast pace industries.
In addition to his experience in various technical areas such as aviation and the automotive industry and his excellent knowledge in production of fibre composite components, Leo always focuses on the human aspect. As a team leader in a student initiative with over 80 members from various disciplines, he learnt very early on how important people can be the key players in highly complex tasks and how important it is to familiarise people well with a new working environment. In order to scientifically prove this view, he is part of the Cyber-Human-Lab and is writing his master thesis in this area.
In his freetime, he is always looking for new challenges like multiple days hiking/biking trips, traveling to new countries or just enjoying a good run or gym session.
